Hi! I'm Stephanie!
I am a 24 years old graduate student at Northeastern University in Boston. I moved from Montreal in August 2016 to do my MBA. Previously I was at McGill University in Montreal, Canada where I studied Civil Engineering.
I grew up in Montreal playing outside and playing hoops in my neighbor's driveway. I was hooked, I played Basketball for ten years on top of coaching it, up until my first year of University. After abruptly stopping basketball I needed a new outlet for all my energy and slight attention deficit.
Having done a few triathlon in the past few summers, I knew I already liked it and wasn't starting from scratch. I decided to jump right in with the help and push of my dad who was already an Ironman triathlete. I join the McGill Triathlon Club and never looked back!
Fast forward five years I have completed many triathlons from Sprint to Ironman distance, and I love it. I took my first swimming lesson that year and slowly learned to swim. It's still my weakness, but I'm working on it. Biking is just a game of patience as I'm putting hours and hours of saddle time, but it's improving. Running has always been my strength, but I'm learning that getting better at the two other sports has come to the detriment of my run. It's a balance!
Since starting I have participated in 3 Ironman 70.3 World Championship (2014, 2015 & 2017), won a couple of triathlons and more importantly have had fun for every one of them.
